Ransomeware Gpcode virus

Kapersky Lab was discovered a new ransomware that more dangerous than before. The new malware is the latest variant of Gpcode Virus that exploiting the venerable Windows-based encryptor.

The first vaian of Gpcode wasn’t a big problem becouse it was easy to cracks the encryption. Then when time goes by, a few moment after it’s captured on Kapersky, Kapersky realize it’s more harder to cracks the encrypted files. The privates security key of this malwares is create with Windows built-in cryptographic component,Microsoft Enhanced Cryptographic Provider. Today Kapersky has the public key, but before you unlock the encrypted files you must have the associated private key.

When your files are infected and held for ransom by Virus.Win32.Gpcode.ak, you have to make a clean back up for getting more information back anytime soon.

But some people said this is just a Kapersky stunt to get press or money.
Roel Schouwenberg, the senior for Kapersky said “this is not a stunt, but very serious threat. Some people have seen our call for helps as an attempt to try and break a 1024-bit RSA key, but this is not the case. trying to break a 1024-bit RSA key is a rather futile attempt.”
